Lots of activity today!
Several crews are on the golf course today.
The fairways and greens are being prepared for seeding. The turf is being aerated and topdressed.
Bunker shaping has begun. Sand has been removed from the old bunkers and is being used to build new tees elsewhere on the course. Already, the left bunker on #1 green has been removed and the right bunker has been reshaped. Work is underway to remove the right bunker on #9 green. The new greenside bunker on #2 green is being shaped.
Tee shaping continues on holes 1 and 5.
Clearing is nearly finished as many of the damaged and dead trees have been removed. Once the trees are down, work will begin to prune some of existing foliage.
Please remember that for safety measures during construction, the course is closed to the public. Please use the walking trail around the perimeter. Once construction is complete, it will be necessary to remain closed to pedestrian traffic to allow the new grass to establish itself. The course is slated to re-open in the late spring/early summer. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make improvements.
